Care & Maintenance

Much of my time is spent working with professional musicians who come to have their instruments checked, serviced, looked after and discussed, to decide what work is needed to restore them to best playable condition. Instruments are handled for many hours each day, often travelling around the globe to different climates. I enjoy looking after them to keep them in good health.

A regular checkup will include checking for open seams, purfling and cracks, looking at wear of the varnish in areas of contact, and checking the fingerboard, bridge, soundpost and pegs.
